Feature Presentation:  Demand Management — Why Can’t We Get It Right  

In today’s turbulent economy a well-managed demand management process can enhance customer service and better control inventory levels. It’s a critical activity required to help companies achieve strategic service, financial, and operational supply chain objectives. However, companies that lack fundamental understanding of this concept suffer the consequences to their bottom line.

This virtual presentation will discuss the demand management process, its relationship to supply chain management, the process, and issues preventing it from being successful. It will be on applying concepts and improving the demand management process, not on mathematics. Each attendee will leave the presentation with practical knowledge and new skills that can be immediately applied to his/her job.

Howard Forman is president of PIM Associates, Inc.  Howard has over 35 years of experience in the operational and supply chain environments, specializing in ERP system implementations, demand planning / forecasting, inventory reduction, supply chain management, operation, and business process improvements.

Howard is an active member of the ASCM New Haven Chapter.  He is a frequent speaker at various meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences.  He teaches all APICS certification courses plus tailored operations and supply chain management education and training classes.  He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a MBA and BS in Business Management.
